Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Ensiklonomi Syariah undergo editorial screening and peer review to ensure their academic quality, originality, relevance, and ethical integrity.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial team examines the manuscript's conformity with the journal's focus and scope, author guidelines, academic quality, originality, and technical requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected without external peer review.

2. Plagiarism Screening

Every manuscript is screened using similarity-detection software before being forwarded to reviewers.

3. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least 2 reviewer(s) with relevant academic expertise.

The journal applies a Double Blind Review system. The identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are concealed from the authors.

4. Review Criteria

Relevance to the journal's focus and scope;
Originality and significance of the research;
Clarity of the research objectives;
Appropriateness of the research method;
Quality of analysis and discussion;
Accuracy and relevance of references;
Organization and clarity of presentation; and
Contribution to the development of the journal's academic field.

5. Editorial Decision

Accept Submission;
Revisions Required;
Resubmit for Review; or
Decline Submission.

The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor after considering the reviewers' recommendations.

6. Revision Process

Authors must respond to all reviewer comments and clearly indicate the revisions made. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation.

7. Review Period

The peer-review process normally takes approximately 4–8 weeks. The duration may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.

8. Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest

Editors and reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers must decline an assignment when they have a personal, professional, financial, or institutional conflict of interest.
