Plagiarism Screening

Dakwatuna: Jurnal Komunikasi, Dakwah dan Pemikiran Islam is committed to publishing original and ethically responsible scholarly work.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism and similarity-detection software before entering the peer-review process.

The similarity report is evaluated by the editorial team. The similarity percentage is not used as the sole basis for an editorial decision because properly cited quotations, bibliographies, technical terminology, and commonly used expressions may affect the result.

Similarity Evaluation

1. Manuscripts should normally have an overall similarity score of no more than 20%, excluding the bibliography and properly cited quotations.
2. A high similarity level from a single source may require revision even when the overall similarity score is below the journal's benchmark.
3. Manuscripts containing indications of plagiarism, inappropriate paraphrasing, duplicate publication, or unattributed copying will be returned to the authors or rejected.
4. Serious plagiarism discovered after publication may result in a correction, retraction, or notification to the relevant institution.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and correctly citing all sources.
